Email Verification

  • Updated

The registration form, available as a login method when creating splash pages, can be simplified to include only a mandatory email address.

An email address or phone number needs to be enabled for the registration form to be used as a login method. Other methods are also available, including social media authentication options.

The registration form login detects whether a domain entered is capable of receiving mail. Our Verify service conducts more specific checks to ensure the email addresses your visitors enter are valid.

Visitor journey

When a visitor connects to the WiFi using the form login and presents us with a new email address, the email verification process notes we will send an email:

They are then sent an email to the provided email address:

Upon clicking the link, a confirmation message will display:

With the visitor clicking the link, we are provided with proof that the email address is genuine. This will display in the CRM:

Otherwise, in the CRM the email address will display as unknown or unverified.

If they do not complete verification they will not receive seamless login and will need to complete another login process on their next use of the WiFi.
