WiFi Specifications 

Our WiFi is compatible with all standards of WiFi, including 5, 6 & 6e.

Since 2014 we have been compatible with the WiFi 5 standard 802.11ac, which uses the less congested 5GHz band compared to the older 2.4GHz band. 

WiFi 6 is supported and provides faster speeds, better safety protocols, and backwards compatibility. Purple customers benefit from the ability to onboard more connected devices through WiFi 6's expanded MU-MIMO support with lower latency speeds and a robust WiFi experience for users.

Our supported option of WiFi 6e takes this a step further, with benefits including less latency and even faster speeds.

Splash Page

The responsibility for bespoke Splash Page compatibility is at the customer level. Any third party script or asset source will need to be allowed within the captive portal (by including the domain names of those sources and any dependencies those sources may have). Changing the recommended list of allowed captive portal domains may impact the end user experience.
