There are two ways to configure your Pepwave device. Either via InControl2 or via the local GUI.
Configuration via InControl
Log in to your InControl dashboard.
At the top, click on Network Settings > Captive Portals. Click Add an External Captive Portal. If this button is not shown, hover the blue information icon beside the New Captive Portal button and click the link to show the External option.
Configure as follows:

Click Save to confirm. Next, go to Wi-Fi AP > SSID Settings. Click Add New SSID and configure with:
| SSID | Guest WiFi (or whatever you wish) |
| Enable | Yes |
| SSID Availability | Enabled on all devices |
| Security Policy | Open |
| SSID Visibility | Show this SSID |
| Captive Portal | Guest WiFi |
Click Save Changes to confirm.
The configuration is now complete.
Configuration using the local web interface
Log in to your Pepwave MAX device web interface.
Click AP at the top and then New SSID. Configure with the following:
Under SSID Settings:

Under Security Settings:

Click Save. Next, click Network at the top then Captive Portal on the left. Configure with:

Click Save to confirm.
At the top right, click Apply Changes to complete.
The configuration is now complete.
