SecurePass works on the majority of smartphones, tablets, and laptops in use today. This article lists supported operating systems, minimum versions, and which browsers support the optimised profile installation experience.

Troubleshooting for venue staff

Use this table to diagnose common visitor connection issues at the front desk.

Profile won't download on iPhone Using Chrome or third-party browser Ask visitor to open the enrolment URL in Safari
Downloaded profile but not connecting iOS Settings step not completed Ask visitor to go to Settings → Profile Downloaded → Install
Profile installed but no auto-connect Passpoint not enabled on AP, or SSID hidden Escalate to IT - check Hotspot 2.0 is enabled and SSID is broadcast
Android device not connecting Device is Android 6-9 with Passpoint disabled by OEM Direct visitor to use the Purple App or standard portal instead
