Visitor Count

This report shows visitor totals for the reporting period that you have selected. The report data can be grouped by time (day, month, week or year). The totals are counted based on the number of unique visitors seen visiting venues at and under your scope by day, month, week or year.

The values are based on unique visitors and not the number of visits, therefore the totals per day do not always equal the total for the week and the total for each week does not always add up to the monthly value and so on. For example, if the report period is 06/01/2022 to 06/30/2022:

  • Visitor 1 attends a venue on 06/07/2022 and 06/22/2022

  • Visitor 2 attends a venue on 06/07/2022 and 06/11/2022

  • Visitor 3 attends a venue on 06/11/2022 and 06/25/2022

Concurrent Visitors

The report counts visitors who log in to the WiFi and unauthenticated devices based on session duration; counting the visitor or device once within each hour, day, week or year, dependent on the report time you select. The report helps you to understand how many WiFi users and unauthenticated devices are active on the network within a given time period.

The following is an example to illustrate how WiFi users and unauthenticated devices are counted in the report:

  • Visitor 1 logs on at 01/01/2022 at 10:00 am and their session lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes.

  • Visitor 2 logs on at 01/01/2022 at 10:00 am and their session lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes.

In the default view for the report, which is by ‘hour’, the WiFi user is counted in the following way:
