Braze

  • Updated

The Braze Connector enables a direct data pipeline between your Purple WiFi platform and your Braze dashboard. By integrating these systems, you can capture real-time guest engagement data and use it to power sophisticated cross-channel lifecycle marketing. This connection ensures that visit-based triggers and behavioral data are instantly available within Braze to help refine your customer segmentation and messaging strategies.

Key Features:

  • Real-Time Data Ingestion: Automatically push guest profiles and session data into Braze as they connect to your WiFi.

  • Unified Lifecycle Marketing: Use physical visit triggers to launch personalized email, push, or SMS campaigns via Braze.

  • Subscription Management: Sync guest marketing preferences directly to your designated Braze subscription groups.

Prerequisites

  • An active Purple WiFi account.

  • A Braze account with API access permissions.

Step-by-Step Setup Guide:

Access Braze

  1. Generate an API Key: Log in to your Braze dashboard and follow the standard documentation to create a new API key. Ensure the key has the appropriate permissions for user data ingestion. Click here to open Braze documentation.

  2. Identify your Endpoint: Braze uses different REST endpoints depending on your account's instance (e.g., https://rest.iad-01.braze.com). Determine the correct endpoint URL for your specific Braze cluster. See Braze API for more info: https://www.braze.com/docs/api/basics#endpoints

  3. Identify Subscription Groups: Locate the Subscription Group ID within the Braze UI that you want guest users to be added to upon completing their WiFi journey.

Access the Purple Platform

  1. Log in to your Purple account, navigate to the Management section from the dashboard, and select Connectors.

  2. Find the Braze Connector from the list of available integrations.

  3. Click on the Add button to begin the configuration.

Set up your connector

  1. Name your connector: Assign a clear, internal name for the integration.

  2. Input Braze Details: Enter the API Key, the correct Braze Endpoint, and the Subscription Group ID gathered in the previous steps.

  3. Select the correct Scope Level from the right-hand side of the screen to apply the connector to the desired venues.

  4. Select Save.

Test the integration

Complete an access journey through your WiFi network. Once authenticated, log in to your Braze CRM and search for the test profile. If the user data and subscription status appear correctly, your connector is fully operational.
