Authentication rate

This report shows the number of successful and unsuccessful authentication attempts onto the WiFi network. Each user is counted, at most, once in the morning and once in the afternoon per venue per day. Authentication attempts are based on visitor sessions which are categorized as:

• Successful - Sessions that complete the access journey and successfully authenticate on to the WiFi.
• Unsuccessful - Sessions that started the access journey but did not complete the journey and therefore did not authenticate on to the WiFi. 

The authentication rate percentage is the percentage of successful authenticated sessions out of the total number of successful and unsuccessful sessions. For example, an 80% authentication rate could stem from:

• Visitor 1 starts an access journey but leaves at the terms and conditions.
• Visitor 2 starts an access journey but the connection is interrupted.
• Visitors 3 to 10 start an access journey, complete it and authenticate on to the WiFi.

Average dwell time

This report provides an insight into the amount of time visitors spend within your venues on average. Dwell is based upon the average duration an authenticated visitor's device was connected to the WiFi network per visit. If no valid duration is found for a visit then it is not included in the average.

Successful measurement and accuracy of visit duration is based upon several factors including the WiFi coverage in your venue and frequency of dropped connections between a visitor's device and hardware within your venue.

New / Repeat users

This report shows the number of 'New' and 'Repeat' visitors for the selected date period. 'New' visitors are visitors seen making their first visit during your selected time period, whilst 'Repeat' visitors are visitors who had previously visited the venue prior to the selected time period.

A unique visitor may be counted multiple times if they are a 'New' visitor and make subsequent visits in the reporting period. In this case, they are counted for both their 'New' and 'Repeat' visits. For example, if the report period is for a full month and the visitor arrives in the middle of the month then comes back a week later, they will show as a New visitor for their first visit and a Repeat visitor for their second visit.

Visits by Day of Week and Hour of Day

This report provides an insight into the average number of visits to your venues by the day of the week and the hour of day.

The figures are based on the hour a visitor's device entered the range of a hardware controller in your venue and the duration it remained connected. Visits are counted once in the hour in which they connected and again in every hour or part thereof which they were within range of a hardware controller and remained connected.

Successful measurement and accuracy of visit duration is based upon several factors including the WiFi coverage in your venue and frequency of dropped connections between a visitor's device and hardware within your venue.

Visit Frequency

This report shows the number of visits that individual visitors have made at your current scope. Visitors are grouped into one, two, three, four and five or more visits according to the number of times they have visited any venue within your current scope and the date period specified.

Visitors only show in one visit count category, for example, a visitor who has visited three times is not included in the two visits and one visit categories.

Most Popular Venues

Charts the most popular venues by the total number of visits each venue received during the selected time period. Only venues with at least 1 visit during the selected time period are shown.

Least Popular Venues

Charts the least popular venues by the total number of visits each venue received during the selected time period. Only venues with at least 1 visit during the selected time period are shown.
