Location Insights

Summary

The Location Insights dashboard provides an overview of user engagement with the indoor maps application, highlighting total sessions, popular destinations and routes, user types, platform usage, and calculated return on investment.

Visualisations

  • Total sessions: The total number of sessions in the Maps application, compared to the previous period.
  • Map Selections: The number of map selections (named destinations + custom points) made by users.
  • Total usage: The total number of users and routes by day.
  • Most Selected Destinations: The top 10 selected destinations and number of times they have been selected within the specified time period.
  • Repeat users: The number of users that have previously used the Maps application, and a comparison to the previous period.
  • Platform: The number of maps sessions broken down by the platform (Kiosk, Web, Mobile Web, or Mobile App) and the Device Operating System.
  • New Users: The total number of unique users whose first visit is within the specified time period.
  • Routes served: The number of routes served, and a comparison to the previous period.
  • ROI: The total ROI generated map usage. This calculation looks at the total routes and map selections multiplied by your specific ROI value. A default of $20 is assumed if no ROI value is given.
  • Top 10 Routes Heatmap: A heatmap of the top 10 most popular routes showing the starting point in the rows and the destination in the columns.
  • Total Users: The total number of users who have interacted with the platform.

Filters

  • Date range: Usage date, applies to all visualizations on the dashboard.
  • Location Name: Location on the map belonging to this company. Applies to all visualizations on the dashboard.
  • Maps Platform: Whether the user has come through the Kiosk, Web, Mobile Web, or Mobile App platform. Applies to all visualizations on the dashboard.


Navigation Routes and Features

Visualisations

  • Onsite Route User Journey: The onsite-onsite user journey steps mapped out to identify the relationships between map selection, route creation and step through directions.
  • Total Routes By Platform: The number of routes that have been created by Maps platform (Mobile App, Mobile Web, Web, and Kiosk).
  • Top Route Origins: The top 10 most popular origins for routes generated.
  • Map Selections: The number of map selections (named destinations + custom points) made by users.
  • Custom Points Selected: The number of custom points selected by users.
  • Routes served: The number of routes served, and a comparison to the previous period.
  • Offsite Route User Journey: The offsite-onsite user journey steps mapped out to identify the relationships between map selection, route creation, step through directions, and Google handoff.
  • Top Route Destinations: The top 10 most popular destinations for route generation.

  • Offsite vs Onsite directions: A comparison of on-site vs off-site routes within the specified time period.

  • Top Search Terms: The top 10 most popular search terms in the Maps application.
  • Total Searches: The total number of searches made in the Maps application.
  • Map Selections: The number of map selections (named destinations + custom points) made by users.
  • Custom Points Selected: The number of custom points selected by users.
  • Total Searches By Day: The total number of searches made by day.
  • Destinations Selected: The number of named destinations selected by users.
  • Selected Destinations By User Selection Type: The number of destinations selected on the Map, split by how they were selected (Deep link, Selected on the Map, QR Code, Search).
  • All Selected Destinations Table: A table detailing the number of times any destination has been selected on the map.

Visualisations

  • Shared Link Generation And Usage By Type: The number of share links generated and used, split by the type of link (Custom Point, Destination, Route).
  • Total Saved Bookmarks: The number of saved bookmarks by users within the specified time period compared with the number of map selections.
  • Saved Arrival Points: The number of saved bookmarks by users split by whether this is a route arrival point.
  • Shared Link Usage: The number of share links used, and the percentage of generated links that were used.
  • Share Links Generated vs sessions: The total number of share links generated, compared to the total number of sessions.
  • Top 10 saved destinations: The top 10 saved bookmarks by destination name within the specified time period.
  • Top 10 destinations for sharing: The top 10 destinations for sharing links alongside the usage for these links for the specified filters.
  • Saved destinations by type: The number of destinations that have been saved to bookmarks by users, split by custom point or named destination on the map.

Visualisations

  • New vs repeat users: A pie chart expressing the percentage of Maps users that are new and repeat.
  • Language usage: The number of times each language has been selected by a user. This includes both the default language selection or a manual language selection.
  • Users Over Time: The number of Maps users and routes generated by date.
  • Total Users: The total number of users who have interacted with the platform.
  • Frequency: The total number of users each day, split by the frequency that those uses have used the Maps application.
  • Languages Selected: The number of different languages used by your users for the specified filters.
