An Overview dashboard displays to admin users on the RTLS landing page upon logging in.
When selecting a date range, the previous period will be the same duration. For example, the previous period will encompass the previous 30 days, if the date range selected is 30 days.
The data source remains the same as previous Purple platform analytics so existing API setups will continue to work as normal.
The Overview dashboard will automatically display for admin users when logging in.
The overview dashboard contains:
Total users
The total number of unique users who have visited within the specified time period. Unique users will not be tracked across devices. Unique users are tracked on arrival to the website.
Repeat users
The total number of unique users who have visited more than once within the specified time period.
Total sessions
The total number of times users have visited, including multiple visits from the same user within the specified time period.
Routes served
The total number of routes served to users who have visited within the specified time period.
Total users & routes served over time
The number of users and routes served by day over the specified time period.
Top 10 routes heatmap
The top 10 routes from origin (left axis) to destination (bottom axis) within the specific time period.
Platform
The total number of times users have visited split by the platform (web, mobile or kiosk) and device type they used within the specified time period.
Most selected destinations
The top 10 selected destinations and number of times they have been selected within the specified time period.
Dashboard Functionality
Surfacing analytics in a visual and easy-to-understand manner is now easier than ever via our landing page, shown to admin users upon login.
Filter reports
Applicable venues can be selected from the dropdown menu underneath the title of the dashboard. Particular venues can be selected, or all venues considered for a comprehensive overview. This is also where the date range you want your report to encompass can be selected. The default is set as the last 30 days.
Download reports
Reports are not currently downloadable from the landing page. Customers are encouraged to contact us for exportable data or specific insights beyond those our overview dashboard provides.
Segment reports
Moving your cursor over a particular segment of results will display relevant information more prominently, while selecting the segment will filter the other data points accordingly.
For example, hovering over the below image shows Parking Lot South has 9 total routes. Clicking on this segment displays additional information such as the platform used and the most selected destinations of these particular users:

1 Usage - new, repeat, and session time
2 Per customer, how many users have there been on the product
3 How many users were using the product for the first time
4 How many are returning users
5 What device were they using, e.g. Samsung Galaxy, iPhone 15?
6 The OS being used
7 How long users used the product for (session time)
8 Destination/POI interactions
9 Most viewed (most selected) destinations:
- Via search options
- Via directly selecting from the map
- Via deeplink
- Via QR scan
10 Searching:
- How many times people are searching
- What people are searching for
11 Routing:
- Number of routes served
- Most popular start destinations (including custom points & whether it's from an offsite location)
- Most popular end destinations (including custom points)
- Total route distance displayed
- If it’s an offsite route
12 Transport method used
13 Preferred parking selection
14 Number of hand-offs to Google
15 Whether accessibility is toggled on or off
16 Number of times the route step-through was triggered
17 Number of times the blue dot navigation was triggered
18 How many times sharing functionality was utilized
19 Number of times someone arrived via a ‘share’ button
