Pole Star
Pole Star manufacture BLE tags that are designed to be fixed to assets. These emit RF signals.
BLE listeners measure the received signal strength and send the data to Pole Star's NAO Cloud, which computes the locations. This allows for the real time location of assets to be visible.

Additional information for WiFi connectivity
WiFi authentication schemes based on pre-shared keys are supported (e.g. WPA(2) Personal, and WPA2 Enterprise using PEAP MSCHAPv2 protocol).
SSID visibility can be disabled for security reasons after the initial connection. It is only required to connect to the Wifi.
Requirements include:
- An 802.11 b/g/n WiFi network operating at 2.4 GHz. 5 GHz WiFi networks are not currently supported
- DHCP support is required on the network side
Installation
The recommended typical height of the wall/ceiling mount is 2.5m (6m maximum).
Screws and expanding plugs are provided, along with a drill template sheet. Adhesive tape can be used for temporary setups, though this isn't provided alongside the hardware.
Pole Star will assist with the placement of BLE Listeners. Facilities support will be required to enable the implementation of listeners.
