Cisco Small Business (WAP) Series

Supported models and firmware versions:


WAP125: 1.0.1.7 or above

WAP150: 1.1.2.4 or above

WAP361: 1.1.2.4 or above

WAP571: 1.1.0.3 or above

WAP581: 1.0.1.5 or above



Start by logging into your Cisco WAP web interface.

Step 1 - Guest Access

Click Access Control > Guest Access on the left menu. Configure with:

Enable
Yes
Guest Access Instance
guestwifi
Protocol
HTTP (80)
Authentication Method
External Captive Portal
Guest Group
Default
Session Timeout
1440

Press Apply to Save.


Beside the Authentication Method option, click the eye icon to edit. Configure with:

Splash Page URL
*insert access_url here*
Walled Garden

*insert access_domain here*,venuewifi.com,cloudfront.net,openweathermap.org,stripe.com

Note: If you wish to support social network logins, you also need to add the below entries for each network you plan to support. Be sure to have a comma between all entries.


Facebook:

facebook.com,fbcdn.net,akamaihd.net,connect.facebook.net


Twitter:

twitter.com,twimg.com


LinkedIn:

linkedin.com,licdn.net,licdn.com


Instagram:

instagram.com

Server IP Address-1
*insert radius_server_ip here*

RADIUS Accounting
Enable

Click Ok to Save.


Note: Check the Protocol setting is still set to HTTP (80) and not HTTPS (443). Click Apply again to Save.

 

Step 2 - Wireless


Click Wireless > Networks on the left menu and on the Radio 1 tab click the Plus icon. Configure with the below settings:

VLAN ID
1 (or whaver you need)
SSID Name
Guest WiFi (or whatever you wish)
SSID Broadcast
Enabled
Security
None
Guest Access Instance
guestwifi

Click Apply to Save. Follow the same procedure for the Radio 2 tab.


The configuration is now complete.
