Content Filtering

  • Updated

Purple supports the Internet Watch Foundation and partners with WebTitan and Friendly WiFi to provide a WiFi content filtering system which automatically blocks inappropriate material on the Internet Watch Foundation watchlist and provides access to a certification symbol to show that the WiFi is safe.

You can also block access to specific URLs or content to provide a family friendly WiFi network that customers of any age can use with peace of mind.

Content Filtering requires an additional license, for more information please contact Support.

Block or allow a category or domain

Click Management > VenuesContent Filtering.

To block a category, choose a category from the drop-down list and click Add.

To unblock or allow a category, click the Remove option .

You can also view a description of each category.

To block a specific domain, enter the domain name within the Blacklist section and click Add.

To allow access to a site, enter the domain name within the Whitelist section and click Add, this is useful if you want to allow access to a site that is blocked within a category.

You can access the content filter reports within AnalyticsNetworkWeb filtering.

These reports show the most requested and most blocked domains and categories. This helps to give you an insight into what visitors are browsing when connected to the venue's WiFi.
