Occupancy

  • Updated

Occupancy counts visitors which enter and exit a venue and monitors their movement throughout. This means you can optimize venue safety, comply with government guidance, increase operational efficiency and reassure visitors; ultimately encouraging them to return and spend.

You must connect compatible hardware with Purple's analytics platform. Depending on the type of hardware, i.e. access points or sensors, you can achieve up to 98% accuracy when monitoring visitor numbers. You can also adopt a hybrid model, with different hardware types depending on the accuracy levels required in a specific area. All of the data collected is completely anonymous.

You can also set up alerts to trigger when occupancy levels get too high or even to prompt staff to clean an area following set visitor usage levels.

You can see your historic occupancy data to see which days and times each venue is busiest to help you plan staff levels.
